Take these into care
Make the visit about your concern
Pick the questions that leave the biggest gaps for you.
Begin with what you want help with. Then use these prompts to ask for the details that matter to your decision.
What are we trying to change?
Describe the difficulty in your own words. Ask what the doctor needs to find out, and what care options you can discuss.
The limited Selank evidence makes it fair to ask which tested treatments for anxiety have been considered.
Ask why an option fits the concern you described. Leave time for an answer before moving to the next question.
Which product and evidence are being discussed?
Ask for the product’s exact name and maker, and whether it is nose drops or a shot. Ask which pharmacy would make or send it, and how to check its state licence.
As of September 2026, no finished Selank medicine had FDA approval in the United States.
If a Selank shot is offered, ask the pharmacy which ingredient rule it relies on and how it meets that rule. Get the answer in writing. Use the FDA links in the U.S. rules chapter to check it.
What result in people supports this?
Ask which study tested the problem you want help with, and whether it tested nose drops or shots. Ask what the treatment was compared with and whether people felt better.
The small anxiety comparisons do not establish a memory benefit in people.
If the answer is about animals or brain scans, ask: did people who took this treatment feel better or manage daily tasks better? Was that measured?
How do my circumstances change the discussion?
Questions worth raising include other calming or mood medicines, pregnancy, breastfeeding and how anxiety has been assessed.
Ask what information the doctor still needs from you. Ask what would lead them to advise against the option.
How will the decision be reviewed?
Ask how follow-up would work, whom to contact with questions and how to judge whether a change is useful. Ask what the full charge covers.
Take away the points you understood and the ones that still need an answer. You can write those on the notes page.
